F.A.Q.

Everyone under the age of 16 years of age is welcome to attend the group coaching. Before registering to join the Tehidy Tigers, we advise the new golfer to have an ‘Ice Breaker’ lesson to start with. The one to one lesson, is a great opportunity to learn a few swing fundamentals and become familiar with the club environment before joining the Cubs and Tigers coaching group.

We can lend your young golfer equipment for the initial few lessons. With the current Covid-19 situation borrowed equipment is pre-sterilised in line with the government guidelines. Once the youngster has settled in and shows an enthusiasm for the game and would like to take the lessons further we can offer impartial advice and suggest suitable junior equipment for you to buy. Choosing a set of golf clubs is a considered purchase, so we always offer guidance and choice to suit all budgets.

Parents and family are more than welcome to come and watch the junior sessions, particularly if a young golfer is new to the group and finding his or her feet.

Yes, parents, guardians and family are more than welcome to use the clubhouse facilities whilst the coaching is being delivered.
Clubhouse dress code rules have generally been relaxed across the country in recent years as the game has become much more inclusive and family oriented. Tehidy is no exception and smart jeans may be worn in the clubhouse before 6pm. A good mantra to adopt is simply ‘Dress to Impress’
A range of light snacks and drinks can be purchased throughout the day and the lunchtime Bar Menu is available from 11:30am until 2:00pm. For the early starters a Hot Drinks vending machine is situated in the entrance to the clubhouse.
Free WiFi is available throughout the building .

The Saturday morning group coaching session lasts for an hour. We encourage you to arrive 10 minutes before the session starts so that we can make a prompt start at 10:30am. Individual Junior Lessons are 30 mins in duration.
